Dr. Christian Muschitz treats the full spectrum of internal medicine as a specialist and has been scientifically involved with osteoporosis since his student years. After several years at the Vienna General Hospital, he completed his training as a specialist in internal medicine and sub-specialist in rheumatology at the Barmherzige Schwestern Hospital Vienna and the Vienna General Hospital.
Since 2009, he has served as a senior ward physician and heads the osteoporosis outpatient clinic at Austria’s only certified osteological centre.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Muschitz holds a teaching position at the Medical University of Vienna in the PhD programme ‘Musculoskeletal & Dental Research’ and in the Human Medicine degree programme. He is habilitated in internal medicine at MUW and publishes his own research findings on bone metabolism in international scientific journals, presents at international and national congresses, and has led the Vinforce research team at his clinic for over 15 years. Dr. Muschitz is a member of national, European and American specialist societies in his field and serves as Secretary General of the Austrian Society for Bone and Mineral Metabolism.
