Dr. Pauzenberger completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Vienna with international placements at the University of Lund (Sweden) and the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom). He completed his orthopaedic training at the Barmherzige Schwestern Hospital Vienna (Prim. Dr. Anderl). During his training, he spent six months as a Research Fellow at the University of Connecticut (USA, Prof. Mazzocca), dedicating himself to research in shoulder surgery and sports orthopaedics.
Following his training, Dr. Pauzenberger spent two years on fellowship at the Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin (Ireland), specialising in the treatment of shoulder, elbow and knee problems. During this time, he treated athletes of all levels from recreational to professional, managed several hundred patients with shoulder osteoarthritis, and implanted the highest number of shoulder prostheses in Ireland.
Due to his scientific and clinical achievements in sports orthopaedics, Dr. Pauzenberger was elected as the first Austrian into the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) of the Royal College of Surgeons. His specialisation, scientific work and clinical experience enable him to treat even complex and rare pathologies of the shoulder, elbow and knee with the most modern treatment methods.
