RECURIO Vienna is a private medical practice for people with persistent pain, delayed recovery and other complex conditions.
We support patients for whom standard pathways are frequently insufficient – such as those with recurring back and joint pain, post-surgical conditions, difficult-to-classify inflammatory processes, or fatigue and exercise intolerance following infections.
The name RECURIO is derived from “recuro” – meaning: “I heal again.” For us, this does not describe a blanket promise, but a medical pathway: understanding complaints carefully, placing them in context, and guiding people step by step back towards greater function, resilience and quality of life. Our focus is not on quick symptom management, but on a clearly guided medical process: we listen carefully, review prior findings, examine thoroughly, assess findings and complaints together, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your situation.
From healthPi to RECURIO
RECURIO grew out of the former healthPi Medical Center. Since 2014, we have built experience, infrastructure and an interdisciplinary environment there. With RECURIO, we have consistently developed this medical core further and sharpened our focus. Today we concentrate our strengths where we make the greatest difference: in the differentiated assessment and physician-led treatment of complaints that cannot be conclusively explained by a single finding.
What defines RECURIO
Many people come to us because they have already been through several stages: imaging, treatment attempts, various opinions – but no comprehensible common thread. That is exactly where we begin. Our work is based on three core principles:

RECURIO is centrally located in the heart of Vienna, near St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Our practice combines medical focus with personal care – without the anonymity of large institutions and without time pressure, where careful attention to detail is decisive.
